Same rights for everone!

Hello everyone!

Well I know this has happened a "long" time ago, but I thought I'd talk about it since that REALLY shocked me!

There was this boy named Larry King who was only 15 years old when he asked his class-mate, I think his name was Brandon, if he wanted to be his valentine. Larry was gay and obviously Brandon (if that was his name) had a problem with it because he killed Larry. Now, two years later, Larry would have been 17 but he was killed because he was openly gay, asking his class-mate if he wanted to be his valentine ... nothing but THAT!
And I think that is a really bad story. I am not judging anyone. This isn't about politics or religions ... I just think it's bad. And I am not judging Brandon, but I would love to know WHY he did that and what gave him the idea of doing this? Was it because he was ashamed, or because ... he hated gay people in general? I just don't understand why he did that.

Gay people these days are still "different" for the people and that is something else I don't really understand. What is so "different" about them? Do they smell different, do they look different, do they speak a different language ...? NO, they don't. So what is the EXACT reason for people to see them as something DIFFERENT? And why shouldn't they be allowed to have kids and marry? Just because the parents are gay doesn't mean that the kids will automatically be gay if that's what people are afraid of! It's the THOUGHT that counts. They are in love, they feel love for each other and that should be allowed to be made official ... and not kept a secret. Parents shouldn't be ashamed if their daughter or son was gay, they should be happy for then that they have the bravery to actually say it and to come out.

So please, don't treat gay people any different or see them any different! They are just like us, they should have all the rights that we have - it's not like they say "wow, being gay for a day would be fun just to see how people react" ... they are serious about it! So respect them just like they respect you!
- Thanks.
