My Forever! x

Inspired by the band My Forever (www.myforeverofficial.com)!
This poem is about how I got to know the band and what part they have now taken in my life. It may not be the best stuff you've ever read but I thought as long as I feel like it's expressing my opinion and what I feel noone should really make a big deal if something doesn't sound too perfect :)


I wanna be with you - forever.
Wherever I go, be with me.
I want you to love me - forever.
Whatever I do, be mine.

The first time I heard of you and your friend(s),
the first time I heard of you and your band,
the first time I had your music playing along,
and now "Those Summer Months" is my favourite song.

My first thought was, and don't take me wrong,
"Always A Stranger" is quite a realistic song.
Though you talked to me, I never imagined,
that you could be such a good and dear friend.

Someone that listens, someone that cares,
someone that helps and not just stops and stares.
Someone that's honest, someone that is strong,
someone that is kind, and sings my favourite song.

But there is not only Roy that is awesome, you know
there are other people that rule the show!
Their names are Glen, Dave, James and Ben,
they can't be left out, so I'm mentioning them.

Guitar, keyboard, drums and voice,
put together, what a great choice!
I bet there is not one person that doesn't like
your magic and feeling in everything you write.

You tell me to stay
I walk away
Tell my flight to delay
still I walk away!

Looking through all the now faded photographs,
you cannot go back in time, but what is it that
makes it like whenever you sing or one of these things
it just sounds like time stands still, you feel like having wings.
Flying away into the heaven of music,
a rusted visionary should not be confusing.
Just see what you want to, feel what is best,
stop all the worries and just get some rest.

You cannot stop what's coming from above,
but whatever you do, remember
... music is forever my love!
